Dear members and supporters,
On this International Working Women’s Day, we recognize that Palestine is a feminist issue — today and every day — and invite you to reject colonial feminism and represent grassroots feminist solidarity on social media and in the streets. Check out our social media toolkit with
resources and images created in collaboration with the Palestinian Feminist Collective and The Feminist Front!
We are also excited to share some of our recent work with women, femmes, and gender-expansive people in the hemisphere:
Two weeks ago, we organized a women and gender-expansive BIPOC delegation with the Movement for Black Lives (M4BL) to The Latin American and Caribbean Conference of Peoples’ Integration in Brazil, held by La Jornada Continental. More than 3,000 people attended from La Jornada member
organizations including Friends of the Earth International, the Trade Union Confederation of the Americas, Movimiento Continental, and World March of Women.
Collectively, we discussed the political moment in the region, how to integrate a feminist economy into our various countries and movements, and solidarity with Bolivia, Cuba, Haiti, Palestine, and Venezuela that is grounded in liberatory principles and a commitment
to dismantling U.S. imperialism. |
