The past few weeks have been an appalling display of what happens when extremism goes unchecked. In-vitro fertilization has been effectively banned in Alabama, and now Republicans like Yvette Herrell are scrambling to hide their record in order to convince their constituents they wouldn’t impose the same restriction nationally given the chance.

Herrell can try all she wants to run from her record of supporting a nationwide abortion ban with no exceptions, but I’m here to tell her that New Mexico won’t forget.

We remember how she co-sponsored the Life at Conception Act.

We remember how she signed on to over a dozen bills, resolutions and letters designed to chip away at reproductive rights.

We remember how she cheered as Texas enacted a devastating abortion ban and advocated for the same to be done here.

We won’t forget — and we won’t let her win back this seat.
