I'm going to be frank with you, a lot of campaigns are worried right now. They're worried they won't be able to get the grassroots support necessary to defeat their challengers. They're worried they won't be able to knock on doors for months. They're worried the momentum they had leading up to November has come to a crushing, abrupt halt.

That's where we come in, friend. Even in such unprecedented times like this, we are still here, fighting for Black representation in our government. No matter what adversity we have faced in the past, this team has risen to every challenge. I know today is no different.

There is more than one reason why we need to fight harder than ever before. The administration's blundering and misguided handling of the COVID-19 outbreak is just the top of a long list of why we need new, better leadership.

There are countless Black candidates running for re-election or running for the first time going up against right-wing, dark money groups who have wells of endless funds to turn to. The Black candidates have us – this team. So we need to be there for them right now.
