John, today is International Women’s Day, where we celebrate women, girls and their achievements. For 105 years, Save the Children has advocated for children, girls and mothers. We’ve made incredible global progress, but there’s still work to be done. Girls are still more likely than boys to be out of school. Every year, 12 million girls under 18 are married, and more than 16 million give birth.
Save the Children is working to address gender-based violence, maternal health complications, the gender education gap and other forms of gender discrimination. That’s why we’re so excited to share a new way to support at-risk children: Save the Children’s gift boxes for Girls’ Empowerment.
Your donation can help girls like Kpemeh* and Kuji* advocate against child marriage. It can help pregnant women like Rohima* receive prenatal and postnatal care, nutrition and vaccines for their babies. And it can help mothers like Daisy* access early learning support for daughters like Darla.*
Together, we can teach girls and boys to question long-standing gender norms and change their communities for the better. But everything we do to make our world a better, safer place for children is only possible with your generous support, John.
Thank you for your support – on this important day and always.
Save the Children
Gift boxes ensure all our programs remain fully funded to provide nutrition, health care and education for children and families who need assistance. Your donation reaches those who need it most. Thank you.
