John,

Last night, Biden delivered his State of the Union address and put forward a vision of a better care future for all of us. His speech made it clear: Better care policies help make life more affordable for families.

This is the most a President has EVER spoken about care during this address.

Let’s be clear – this wouldn’t be possible without all of the advocacy you’ve done to call for better care. Now, we need to keep up the momentum and make sure care is at the center of this crucial election year. Your donation today helps power that work, so we can ensure care is at the top of the agenda in 2024. Please, don’t hesitate to make your gift. [[link removed]]

“Imagine a future with affordable child care. Millions of families can get what they need to go to work to help grow the economy.
Imagine a future with paid leave – because no one should have to choose between working and taking care of their sick family member.
Imagine a future with home care and elder care and people living with disabilities – so they can stay in their homes – and family caregivers can finally get the pay they deserve!”

- President Biden’s 2024 State of the Union Address

----------

Like Biden said, we can afford these care policies – if Congress taxes big corporations and the wealthy their fair share.

None of us can solve the care crisis on our own. We need strong public investments in care, because it’s a public good that serves all of us. But too many people have to navigate the challenges of care and caregiving alone and with no outside help.

We have power together. We can be a force for positive change in our care system.

In the year ahead, we’re planning events and actions to make sure elected leaders prioritize policies that invest in paid leave, child care, and aging & disability care. We’re educating the public on why care is such a crucial issue and how we all have care in common. And we’re working with Hollywood and celebrities to change the conversations we have about care. Our work is powered by your support – can we count on you to make a gift?

We have the power to shape a care system that serves all of us – when we come together. Last night’s speech shows the power that we’re already building. There’s even more to come.

With care,
