BJS cosponsors the 2024 NCHS Data Detectives Camp for rising 6th & 7th graders [ [link removed] ] 

The application window is open for the 2024 National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) Data Detectives Camp. Scientists from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will present statistical concepts to rising 6th and 7th grade students to teach them to think like data detectives by asking the right questions, collecting needed information, analyzing the data, and determining the answers. This free commuter camp will be held in two locations this year:  


* Atlanta, Georgia: CDC Headquarters, July 8–July 12 
* Hyattsville, Maryland: NCHS Headquarters, July 29–August 2
 

Interested students must submit an application form, along with a recommendation from the student’s math or science teacher, by Thursday, March 28, 2024. Students will be randomly selected for participation.
