Mary Gay has been making the news and I don’t want you to miss it — massive job gains in the district, airport grants, an achievement award, and more. Her hard work is paying off, and our district and Commonwealth are better for it. Take a look at the latest below:

First , Mary Gay played a key role in the YEARS LONG effort to save thousands of jobs in the Ridley Park Chinook program. Mary Gay worked hard to keep these jobs right here in our district and it shows just how committed she is to the fight for our future. Read more below:

“I am thrilled to announce the Army’s decision to recommit to Chinook modernization. This decision guarantees over 20 years of production at Boeing’s Ridley Park facility, supporting thousands of good-paying jobs in our region as well as our national security.”

Mary Gay secured HUGE airport grants in Philadelphia alongside Senator Bob Casey. Philadelphia has now received $347 million in federal funding investment since 2021, thanks to the Biden Administration’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill. Mayor Cherelle Parker joined U.S. Sen. Bob Casey and U.S. Rep. Mary Gay Scanlon at the Philadelphia International Airport Friday morning to announce an additional $20.4 million in federal infrastructure funding coming to the upgraded terminal facilities.

As part of the federal Department of Transportation's Airport Terminals Program, PHL will get upgrades to its HVAC and electrical systems that leaders say will make the airport more sustainable and modern.

“The agency is receiving $317 million from the Federal Transit Administration's Rail Vehicle Replacement Program. It's the largest grant in the program's history, topping a previous $200 million record given to the Chicago Transit Authority.”
