Today, we’re sharing Ramata’s story to shine a light on the incredible strength of women like her.



Ramata lives in Senegal, where dusty and dry conditions made it difficult to produce a successful harvest on her farm. But Ramata refused to give up. After joining the Saloum Corn Producers Association, Ramata received special training, tools, and seeds to grow thriving crops.

Thanks to the support of people like you, Ramata’s life is changed forever. She has a thriving farm — and by Passing on the Gift(R), Ramata has shared her knowledge and success, and healthy seeds, with other women farmers in Senegal!
