Hi John,
It's a very hectic time right now, and I know you've been getting a lot of emails. So, I wanted to take a step back, re-introduce myself, and explain why I'm running for Congress.
My name is Jamaal Bowman. I was born and raised in New York City, and I now live in Yonkers with my wife and three children. For the past 20 years, I've been an educator, 17 of those years in the Bronx.
Now, I'm running for Congress because I believe NY-16 deserves a representative who fights for them — not wealthy Wall Street executives.
John: I need your full support to take on Eliot Engel in the primary election. And, with only two days until the end-of-quarter FEC fundraising deadline, we haven't got much time to lose. Will you rush $5 to our campaign now to show everyone the strength of our grassroots movement?

For 30 years, Eliot Engel has failed to produce results for New York, voting in favor of Wall Street and prisons, instead of our community and families.
NY-16 deserves a representative who fights for working class families, not wealthy Wall Street executives. It's time for a Democrat who will fight for schools and education, not bombs and incarceration, to take office.
Join me and our grassroots, people-led movement today. With two days left until our reporting deadline, your contribution will show that our campaign has the strong momentum it needs to win.
More soon,
Jamaal
