So, what changed? Not me. In fact, I am ranked by The Institute for Legislative Analysis as the most limited government conservative in Virginia, and in the top 5 among my colleagues nationally.
My opponent will do or say anything to advance himself, or to try to fool someone into voting for him.
When he was running for the Virginia State Senate last year, he was actually trying to audition for my endorsement. But, now that he is challenging me for Congress, he repeatedly calls me a RINO and says I am a Never Trumper.
I proudly endorsed President Trump for re-election. I supported President Trump in 2020, and spoke many times publicly about the efforts to rig that election. I objected to the electors in question on January 6, 2021. I voted against the January 6 Commission, and against the sham impeachment. More recently, I joined the successful amicus brief opposing the efforts to keep President Trump off the 2024 ballot. And I am a co-sponsor of the bill declaring that January 6 was not an insurrection.
I have a 100% score from all of the top conservative organizations for my legislative record. In fact, I am the only member of Congress with a perfect score with Club for Growth, Conservative Review, and Heritage Action.
I was also recently elected Chairman of the House Freedom Caucus and have been a leader on issues, including:
Securing the border
Cutting spending and balancing the budget
Eliminating vaccine requirements
Supporting our Veterans
Protecting our constitutional liberties
Disrupting the status quo, and challenging the uni-party swamp system
As a result, former Speaker Kevin McCarthy, former majority leader Eric Cantor, and some of the biggest RINOs in Congress, like Mike Rogers and Derrick Van Orden, are backing and funding my opponent’s campaign.
McCarthy has vowed revenge against those like me who dared to stand up against the business-as-usual Washington that is failing the American people.
My opponent tries to wrap himself in MAGA, but the truth is, he is supported and funded by the DC SWAMP, the California elites, and the K-Street lobbyists and special interests.
