John,
Who is President Biden inviting tonight to the State of the Union as his special guest to showcase what he cares about in his administration?
Kate Cox, a Texas woman who was the center of a media firestorm who wanted to have a late-term abortion on her disabled baby girl when she found out that her baby girl was “incompatible with life.”
Kate Cox's daughter was 20 weeks old when she was diagnosed with Trisomy 18, a severe disability, and doctors determined that she might die in the birth process or shortly after birth.
Cox’s baby was alive. There are many people today with Trisomy 18 who have survived and are thriving, including Rick Santorum's daughter, Bella, who has defied the odds.
However, Cox sued the state of Texas and demanded that she have an abortion in Texas.
Texas law protects children from abortion except in cases where the mother’s life is in danger.
John, Kate Cox's life was not in danger. There was no medical necessity for the abortion.
You don't get to kill a disabled or sick baby just because they're disabled or sick - but that's exactly what Kate Cox and her doctor wanted to do.
She could have had an early delivery if she had a medical emergency, but she chose to leave the state of Texas with her preborn living daughter kicking in her womb to go to another state to endure a late-term abortion.
Her daughter didn't just magically disappear. She was violently killed.
An induction abortion is the most common late-term abortion procedure — and likely what happened to Kate Cox's daughter — is a lethal injection that pierced her body and filled her body with a toxin that ultimately triggered cardiac arrest.
This process can take up to an hour for her to die in great pain. Then this little girl would be removed and ripped apart piece by piece in a D&E abortion.
Alternatively, she would not have been given the lethal injection first and would have been dismembered alive. Live dismemberments happen in the second trimester on babies at abortion clinics across the country and are perfectly legal.
How heartbreaking that the most powerful office in this country is celebrating the lethal dismemberment of a little girl just because she's disabled and sick?
I hope that Kate Cox can wake up one day and find healing and forgiveness. I pray that she can join the pro-life side as many other post-abortive women have done and not allow this to happen to another baby.
We must speak out loudly against the death cult that's gripping this country.
