I know it's been a tough couple of weeks as we all wrap our heads around Alabama’s extreme Supreme Court ruling against in vitro fertilization. This unreasonable ruling determined that discarding non-viable fertilized eggs could be considered manslaughter or even murder.

This is disheartening, and it means essentially, Republicans have put the rights of fertilized eggs over the rights of women in our country.

That's why I wanted to reach out personally to let you know that I am doing everything I can to protect IVF and the reproductive rights of all Americans.

I’m working every day in the Senate to build support for legislation to fully restore reproductive freedom. It’s essential that we take action, which I’ve been pushing for with my Access to Family Building Act.

Just last week, I tried once again to get unanimous consent for the Senate to protect the right to IVF nationwide. After days of scrambling to claim they support IVF after the Alabama ruling, Republicans had their chance to show that support in practice.

And, of course, they blocked it.

It's clear that we can’t restore reproductive rights without defeating the GOP’s extremist agenda. And to do that, we need to elect more pro-choice Democrats — but we need your help to do it.

That's where you come in, friend — there’s a lot at stake this election year and I need you with me as I continue to advocate for American families. So, I’m humbly asking: Can you please chip in $5 or any amount to help us secure reproductive freedom once and for all?
