<[link removed]>Friend,
Jill Stein has been traveling the country on a whirlwind tour that’s taking her to 14 states in 3 weeks. She still has upcoming events <[link removed]> in Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota, but so much has already happened that we wanted to send you some postcards from Jill’s road trip!
Jill’s tour began in Denver, Colorado on February 25th, where she spoke to a full house at the Colorado Islamic Society about how we can demand an end to the genocidal war in Gaza, and much more.
Next came stops in Portland, Oregon and Seattle, Washington, where Jill laid out the critical need for universal healthcare on a Medicare for All panel along with her campaign manager Jason Call, himself a Green candidate for Congress.
After meeting with constituent groups in California, Jill traveled to New York City to join the Free and Equal presidential debate, where her powerful debate performance was cheered on by enthusiastic supporters in the audience.
The next stop was Morgantown, West Virginia, where Jill met a friendly reception from local community members, including student leaders running for office as members of the Mountain Party, West Virginia’s state affiliate of the Green Party.
After West Virginia, Jill headed to Ohio, where she met with residents of East Palestine and neighboring communities at a fiery town hall meeting about the ongoing disaster caused by a train derailment and toxic chemical spill over a year ago, and the failure of the Biden administration to provide the resources they need to recover. Jill’s powerful meeting with East Palestine residents demanding justice was livestreamed <[link removed]> and drew media coverage from NewsNation <[link removed]>, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette <[link removed]>, and numerous local media outlets <[link removed]>.
From East Palestine, Jill has continued to travel through the Midwest, meeting with local supporters and communities that have been abandoned by the parties of war and Wall Street. Jill keeps telling us that at every stop along the way - including Columbus and Toledo, Ohio; Lexington, Kentucky; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and Fort Wayne, Indiana - her days have been full of meaningful conversations on important issues and deep connections.
For Jill, this isn't about amassing fame, fortune, or personal power - this campaign is all about connecting with people like you over the things that really matter and building a movement together to fight for people, planet, and peace.
In many places, our supporters have been generous enough to open their homes for campaign events, like this house party in Toledo hosted by longtime Green stalwart Anita Rios:
This is a truly grassroots campaign, and we’re immensely grateful to everyone who has come out to meet Jill, everyone who has helped organize for her trip, and every one of you who has contributed to help make it happen.
The connections being made by Jill, Jason, Kelly, and our many team members and volunteer organizers are laying the groundwork for our campaign to get on the ballot across the country, organize in every state, and make history this November.
And Jill’s tour isn’t over: today she is in Dearborn <[link removed]>, Michigan, with a public meeting at the Islamic House of Wisdom, and over the next week she has events in Chicago <[link removed]>, Illinois; Madison <[link removed]>, Racine <[link removed]>, and Milwaukee <[link removed]>, Wisconsin; and Minneapolis <[link removed]>, Minnesota.
If you can, please come out to meet Jill, and if you don’t get a chance to see her this time around, please support our campaign so we can continue to send Jill to communities like yours across the country!
In solidarity and gratitude,
The Jill Stein 2024 team
