Tonight, President Biden will deliver his annual State of the Union address before a joint session of Congress and an audience of millions of Americans including me and my family.
While the address has historically served as an opportunity for the president and U.S. Congress to come together and lay out plans to address the greatest challenges facing our country, in recent years it has become another example of the divided, toxic politics that have taken over Washington.
Like the exhausted majority of Marylanders, I am completely fed up with politics as usual — enough is enough.
