John,
Rolling Stone is the latest media outlet to cast a spotlight on “the wrath of AIPAC” against anyone who dares to speak out for Palestinian human rights this election cycle — especially our Justice Democrats incumbents in the Squad.
The GOP megadonor-funded group has already begun spending some of their $100 million war chest on attack ads and primary campaigns against progressive champions like Jamaal Bowman, Cori Bush, Summer Lee, Ilhan Omar, and Rashida Tlaib this year. Their goal? Oust them from Congress in 2024.
AIPAC may outspend us, but we can still beat them through grassroots people power. Just look at Tuesday’s primary results in California: AIPAC spent $5 million against a Democratic candidate who didn’t even call for a ceasefire, but mildly criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Despite their flood of dark money and attack ads into the race, they lost.
Together, we can keep our Squad of young, Black and brown, working-class progressives in Congress fighting not only for Palestinian rights, but for Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, and other bold solutions to the challenges we face.
In solidarity,
Alexandra Rojas
Executive Director
Do not worry if you cannot afford to make a contribution — we understand that this is a difficult time. There are other ways to make an impact in support of peace and equality in Israel and Palestine: please urge your member of Congress to support a ceasefire through Adalah Justice Project’s petition or by calling them using Jewish Voice for Peace’s dialer here. Your voice matters in this critical moment. |
