For decades, the courts have upheld Roe v. Wade as settled law, until the Conservative Supreme Court repealed it in 2022. As a result, Republican legislators jumped into action and now, abortion is banned or restricted in 21 states — and National Republicans continue to push for a 16-week national abortion ban

In the latest round of attacks on reproductive freedom, the Alabama Supreme Court ruled that frozen embryos should receive legal protections as "unborn life." This ruling is dangerous as fertility clinics and individuals seeking treatment — such as IVF — are left vulnerable to lawsuits or criminal prosecution.

While some National Republicans rushed to condemn this ruling, the truth is Republicans won’t stop until they have full control over women’s bodies.

It’s never been more important that we have a pro-choice majority in Congress to stop the assault on reproductive rights.

I’ve spent my career fighting to protect reproductive freedom and ensure everyone has the right to make their own medical decisions. I’m ready to continue fighting, but I need to know you’re by my side.

We have the chance to elect a new pro-choice majority in November, but it’s going to take resources we don’t have.
