You’ve heard that my opponent is now self-funding–she broke the campaign finance caps last week by giving herself $100,000. But, did you know she then proceeded to accept nearly $1 million in huge checks from dangerous right-wing, anti-choice Republican donors [[link removed]] —the same people who have funded Donald Trump, Mitch McConnell, Dr. Oz, Kelly Loeffler and worse?
These right-wing, anti-choice, racist, and anti-equality donors believe Eileen O’Neill Burke will bring back the old-school policies of a bygone era that led to unjust, discriminatory outcomes for millions of Black and Brown Americans. Those policies didn’t make us safer then, and they won’t do it now.

We can’t go back to the bad old days when Cook County was known as the wrongful convictions capital–but that’s what we risk if Eileen Burke wins this election.
The bottom line: As we stare down the barrel of a potential second Trump administration, the last thing we need are local leaders who are beholden to extremists taking the helm of our criminal justice system.
