Dear Friends and Comrades!
Our delegates have returned from Atlanta, having spent an exhausting but fulfilling weekend with comrades from across the country voting on the future of DSA as a national organization. Among other things, we'll now have a national staff member in charge of DSA's labor work, so expect more resources for our organizing in that essential direction.
You can hear a more comprehensive debrief from our delegates at our Organizing Meeting, Monday, 12 August, at the Honest Pint (35 Patten Pkwy.) at 7 PM EST.
We'll also be talking about an exciting event coming up at the end of the month, the Chattanooga Area Labor Council's Labor Day Parade and Picnic. We'll hope to make a good showing there.
Democratic Socialist elected officials have been making waves in recent days, and we've got a plan to expand that hopeful trend to Chattanooga. The many different paths we've been walking for the past few years are beginning to converge on a prospect of real power, but we'll need all of us to get there, so please come join us! Forward together!
In Solidarity,
Chattanooga DSA
