For nine years intense violence has forced millions of Syrian families to flee their homes and get by with next to nothing. The current challenges of limited access to food, water and shelter will become even more acute as the global coronavirus pandemic continues to spread.
John, you know that these challenges discriminate. Women and children continue to be the most vulnerable victims in crisis zones. Their lives have been shattered by violence and destruction.
