It’s been five months of war in Gaza and we need your help. Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is a lifeline for the 2.3 million Palestinians trapped in this humanitarian catastrophe, which has already killed 30,000 people and displaced more than 1.7 million.

Our lifesaving medical care is only made possible by generous donors who have enabled us to go where few other organizations can or will go. As people in Palestine struggle to survive, we urgently need your help to meet the overwhelming needs in Gaza and around the world.

Here's the impact of our donors' support in action

MSF teams are caring for patients in four hospitals and one primary health care facility in Gaza to provide surgical care, wound care, post-partum care, and mental health services.

The devastation our teams are witnessing is heartbreaking, and many of our patients are children who have suffered trauma and severe injuries. This young girl, Razan Samer Shabet, lost her entire family in the bombings and was injured herself. Here, an MSF psychologist checks in on her.

Our staff are working under impossible conditions. “What’s happening in Gaza is a humanitarian emergency like I have never seen before,” says Dr. Edward Chu, who has worked in conflict zones including Ukraine and Central African Republic. He calls the attacks on health care staff unacceptable.

MSF started a water distribution program in December 2023, providing 110,000 liters of clean drinking water a day. But that’s not nearly enough to go around.

Hospitals have collapsed, leaving pregnant women without care and forcing some to give birth in makeshift tents. Our gynecologists are providing prenatal and post-delivery care to mothers and babies amid constant bombardments.

Devastatingly, several of our colleagues and their family members are among the more than 30,000 people who have been killed. As humanitarians, we’re appalled by the violence against civilians and health care workers. We called on the United Nations Security Council to demand an immediate and sustained ceasefire in Gaza. Without one, civilians will die and the health care system will collapse even further.
