More time away from the cake shop he built and doing what he loves: designing cakes. More time in the spotlight facing scrutiny. And more time standing up for the freedom to express what he believes without facing government punishment.
All because two Colorado state courts held that an activist could misuse Colorado law to force Jack to celebrate a gender “transition.”
Alliance Defending Freedom appealed this decision to the Colorado Supreme Court—which will hear Jack’s case in the coming months. And we need help from people like you to protect Jack’s right to express messages consistent with his beliefs.
What’s happened to Jack is a tale of intolerance—the intolerance of activists and officials targeting, harassing, and punishing those who disagree with their beliefs.
You might remember that at the beginning of his more than decade-long journey, Jack was targeted because he cannot create a custom cake celebrating a same-sex wedding. Jack cannot violate his conscience—and he shouldn’t be forced to. No American should.
But, after two wins, including one win at the U.S. Supreme Court, attacks on Jack still didn’t stop. He continues to be harassed.
The request Jack is being targeted for right now came from an activist attorney who said, under oath, the attorney wants to “[c]orrect the errors of [Jack’s] thinking.”
Yet, the Colorado Court of Appeals ruled in favor of this attorney, against Jack—and you.
