John, how far can $50 get you today?
A full tank of gas, depending on where you live (sorry Californians!) Maybe a small appliance, like a new coffee maker. Or lunch delivered to your door.
Now, what if I told you that your $50 could instead translate to hundreds of positively impacted voters?
For $50 you could cover the cost of training and placing one Election Protection volunteer where they’re needed most – to help voters navigate any obstacles or intimidation they might face at the polls.
And that volunteer you sponsor will continue giving back to their community for the next 8 months – helping their neighbors vote in the primaries, throughout early voting, or even in-person on Election Day.
The truth is, we’re up against a lot this November. 2023 was one of the worst in terms of sheer number of restrictive voting laws passed – second only to 2021 in the last decade. [1]
That means millions of voters will now find themselves facing obstacles to the ballot box that weren’t in place last time they voted. And worse, many first-time voters will have to navigate voting rules that are – by design – more confusing than ever!
We here at Common Cause have a plan to respond. We’re on a mission to run our biggest Election Protection program yet – going even bigger than 2020’s historic mobilization.
John, $50 today could make all the difference in a first-time or long-time voter’s experience – ensuring they become repeat voters for life.
There’s no time to waste. The amount of resources we’re able to invest right now determines how big our Election Protection effort is going to be in November. So I have to ask:
Can I count on you to chip in $50 – or give whatever you can spare today – and Sponsor an Election Protection volunteer?
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
I hope you’ll join me in making this the biggest year for our Election Protection program yet and make an immediate, measurable impact on thousands of voters.
Thank you,
Elena Nunez, Director of State Operations
