I wanted to take a second to speak directly with you about the state of the race. I hope you’ll read this whole email and, if you’re able, chip in a few bucks to my campaign to make sure we defeat Trump this November.

Donald Trump swept through Super Tuesday, and yesterday Nikki Haley exited the GOP primary. Now it’s clear: Donald Trump will be the Republican nominee.

The American people are left with a clear choice: Are we going to keep moving forward? Or will we allow Donald Trump to drag us backwards into the chaos, division, and darkness that defined his term in office?

When I launched my campaign for reelection, I said that I believed every generation has a moment where they have had to stand up for democracy. To stand up for their fundamental freedoms. And that this was ours. That couldn’t be more true today.

We know who Donald Trump is, and we know what he does. Heck, we know that he is willing to sacrifice our democracy to put himself in power. And we cannot let him take us backwards.
