Fellow Republicans,
I am reaching out to share with you an important video regarding "Closing Colorado's Primary Lawsuit." This lawsuit is a crucial focus for us, and funding plays a significant role in our ability to advance our cause.
We are in desperate need of donations to support our efforts. Your contributions are vital as we work tirelessly to close our primaries in Colorado. One prime example illustrating the necessity of closed primaries occurred during Super Tuesday in Vermont. Vermont, like Colorado, has an open primary system. During the primary in Vermont, crossover voters—Democrats and independents—participated in the Republican primary, influencing the outcome.
According to unofficial results released by the Vermont Secretary of State’s Office, Haley "supposedly" bested Trump 49.3% to 45.1%.
"The role of crossover voters was huge," stated Rep. Ashley Bartley, a co-chair of the campaign, emphasizing the impact of independents and Democrats participating in the Republican primary.
Vermont's open primary system just like Colorado's allowed each registered voter to request any party's ballot, blurring the lines between party affiliations. This highlights the urgency of our efforts to ensure that only registered Republicans have a say in selecting our nominees.
