It has been twelve years since North Carolina has had a Democratic Lieutenant Governor, and in those long years, that once proud office — an office my father, Jim Hunt, once served in with integrity and compassion — has been degraded into a vehicle for political gain. This fall, we take that office back. This fall, we restore the power of government to the people of North Carolina and put it to work for them once again!
Led by Mark Robinson from the Lt. Governor’s Office, Raleigh Republicans have created book banning commissions, eroded public education, degraded the integrity of our public offices, and stripped away the rights of our most vulnerable citizens.
I SAY TO THEM: NOT ANYMORE. Together with Josh Stein, Jeff Jackson, and DLGA, North Carolina Democrats will unite, work our heads off, and win at every level this November!

I have loved every part of North Carolina since I was just a little girl — from the family farm I grew up on, to the small towns I visited on the campaign trail, to the cities I eventually moved to and live in now.
