"*Event #2: Summer camps hosted at the Whiskey Mountain Conservation Camp*"

Mark your calendars for our Whiskey Mountain Conservation Camp opportunities. Registration for our Family Camps and the application for Youth Camp are officially open.

Learning about fish at Whiskey Mountain Conservation Camp

Our Youth Camps are for 12-15 year olds. Youth Camps' top priority is to immerse the campers in exploring potential career opportunities within the Wyoming Game and Fish Department. Game wardens, biologists, and other agency personnel will showcase aspects of their positions, inspiring a desire to work outdoors within our campers. Additionally, participants will enjoy hands-on experiences with animal identification, watersports, scientific research, archery, and much more.

Our Youth Camp application will close on April 30, 2024, at 5 p.m. MDT.?

We hope to see you at camp this year.

Family camp participants in canoes at Whiskey Mountain Conservation Camp

Our three family camp offerings include:

* *Adventure Family Camp*: Families learn the basics of multiple outdoor activities, including hiking, canoeing, archery, and animal identification. These are introductory camps to give a broad overview of outdoor recreational activities, with the hope that families will spark a passion together! This camp is for ages six and up.
* *Family Fishing Camp*: Campers will learn the basics of two types of fishing (fly fishing and spin casting) through hands-on fishing trips. Campers should arrive with an interest in fishing and limited experience.?
* *Hunter Education Camp*: Do you have your Hunter Education Certificate? Families interested in hunting Wyoming Wildlife will complete a Hunter Education course during this camp, where they learn the basics of safe hunting and receive a Hunter Education and Bowhunter Education certificate. This camp is meant for participants ages ten and up with minimal hunting experience.

Registration for all Family Camps is first come, first served and closes at 5 pm MDT on May 15, 2024. However, if capacity is met, registration may close sooner.
