Last night as the election results rolled in, we experienced both victories and losses. The results underscored the importance of continuing to support Black candidates up and down the ballot and across the country.
Despite the setbacks, our fight to elect Black Democrats to public office and build Black political power continues.
Representation in public office should be reflective of the people, John and that means having more Black representation in elected positions.
Now more than ever, we must double down and work even harder to ensure that the voices of Black Democrats like Colin Allred and Lateefah Simon are heard and represented in our government.
