1. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this campaign before the March 5 primary. We set an all-time record for fundraising by a California challenger in 2023, and couldn’t have done it without you. And as of the last public report, we even have more cash in the bank than Calvert. That’s rare for a race like ours.
2. Thank you to our incredible volunteer team. Leading up to primary, we knocked over 3,500 doors, and made nearly 50,000 phone calls. Our volunteers even noted at an event in Palm Desert that they’ve sent 15,000 postcards for our campaign. That’s a lot of voter contact for being more than eight months away from November, and I’m blown away.
3. And most of all, thank you to everyone who cast a ballot for me. I don’t take your support for granted, and know that when I get to Washington, I’m going to deliver representation that works just as hard as you do.
Now, the real work begins. CA-41 is being called one of the closest races in the country that could determine control of the House majority.
Democrats need to net four seats to retake the House, and CA-41 is listed as a “toss-up” by elections experts, and the National Journal considers this one of the most-likely to flip seats in the country in 2024. Punchbowl News even listed it as one of the top five most important seats nationwide in the battle for House control.
