#BeUMC - Online Course

As United Methodists, we strive to be people of God who faithfully follow Jesus. In seeking to make the world a better place through our love of God and neighbor, it’s important to remember that each of us is vital to the future of the denomination. The #BeUMC course will help remind us of our vital roles as we study and learn together.

In each session, you will join others in studying scripture, reading from our United Methodist tradition and more. Together, we can reclaim our identity, revive our passion for making disciples of Jesus Christ and renew our commitment to mission and ministry. Join us as we strive to #BeUMC!

This course is NOT included in the lay education certification pathway but it is still a great learning opportunity. This course is open to everyone.

Course Time: 6:00-7:30 p.m.

This year the Annual Conference Sessions Team wants to provide worship that expresses the gifts and talents of the gathered body. If liturgy is the work of the people, we believe we could try something that engages our Conference participants in new, meaningful and spiritual ways. Would you like to share your musical gifts? If you are clergy or laity attending Annual Conference who are interested in knowing more about this opportunity, please fill out the following survey by April 15: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/J98F59Q.

Grief Survey Related to United Methodism

Rev. Lynette Moran, a deacon and PhD candidate who has worked with and studied individual/collective grief, is currently researching grief related to the United Methodist Church. She seeks to have wide response from surveys to gain deeper understanding of individual and collective grief and an experiential account of Methodists at this time in church history. Her survey is for all United Methodist members, participants, and those who have transitioned away from the UMC in previous years. Share your experience by completing her survey at https://pitt.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_eFKDYYM5jigy7dk.
