We are excited to share an excellent training opportunity for women interested in New Jersey politics and running for office. The Center for American Women and Politics <[link removed]> at Rutgers Eagleton Institute of Politics is hosting its flagship campaign training program, Ready to Run <[link removed]>, on March 15th and 16th in New Brunswick.?



Research shows that women make government more transparent, inclusive, and accessible, and this program intends to motivate women to participate in the political process. This program offers women the opportunity to receive training to run for office, seek appointed positions, manage campaigns, and more. There is also a Diversity Initiative of Ready to Run, which aims to attract women of color into the political process and to pursue public leadership. The initiative includes three different programs to work towards increased representation of Latinas, Black women, and Asian American women in New Jersey politics:

Run Sister Run: Empowering Black Women for Public Office <[link removed]>

Rising Stars: Educating Asian American Women for Politics <[link removed]>



Participants can expect to engage in informative sessions, network with changemakers, and leave the program with a renewed commitment to the community. There is also a phenomenal guest speaker lineup, including Lieutenant Governor Tahesha Way, Senate Majority Leader Teresa Ruiz, and Assemblywoman Verlina Reynolds-Jackson, among other influential decision-makers and political professionals.?



The registration fee is $150, and limited scholarships are available. This fee includes meals and conference materials.
