The Washington Award for Vocational Excellence (WAVE) scholarship pays for up to two years of college tuition, training or other expenses. The Legislature created this scholarship to highlight career and technical education (CTE), and help students achieve their goals.

Who is eligible?

Washington residents who are either:


* Graduating high school seniors who have finished or are completing the second year of a single CTE pathway.
* Washington community and technical college students who have completed at least one year of a professional-technical program.

How much is the award?

WAVE pays up to $3,850 per year for up to two years, or about $7,700 depending on the college or university attended. Funds are limited and awards may vary.

Where can the award be used?

The WAVE scholarship may be used at Washington?s community and technical colleges, universities, independent colleges and private career schools.
