It’s the same story, just with new details swapped in: Bulletproof backpacks shouldn’t be on back to school lists. Firearm training shouldn’t be in new teacher orientation. Metal detectors shouldn’t be in school budgets.
Teachers Unify is working towards real and lasting advocacy that will help to end gun violence, John. And we won’t stop working until we achieve that goal. But it won’t happen overnight, and it certainly won’t be cheap.
Even though the gun lobby will push millions to prevent us from achieving our goal, I know with strong grassroots support on our side, we will end gun violence. But I need your help, John.
