primary election! So today, we’re calling on dedicated supporters like you
to help us raise $1,000 in the next 12 hours to make sure we are in a good
position to win! There is SO much at stake here and we truly need all
hands on deck over the next few weeks.

Here's what we are up against:

Shifts in Opposition: One of our opponents has openly shifted parties to
run as a Republican, embracing an agenda our movement has fought so hard
to oppose. We’ve been waving the red flags trying to warn folks about this
and now it’s all out in the open for everyone to see!

Undermining Tactics: Meanwhile, our other opponent is not just courting
but actively soliciting Republican support to sabotage Summer’s chances in
the primary. Their donors are the same donors sending money to Ted Cruz,
Ron DeSantis, Nikki Haley, Kevin McCarthy, Dr. OZ, David McCormick, and
many others who stand against everything we're fighting for. This type of
deceit doesn’t belong in the Democratic party.

Historic Representation on the Line: Summer’s election as the first Black
woman to represent Pennsylvania in Congress was a landmark achievement.
Yet, the hard truth remains - in 29 other states, Black women have yet to
break this barrier.  It's tough to talk numbers, but the reality is they
typically raise **only a third** of what their white counterparts bring
in. This isn't just an obstacle — it's a significant roadblock. It means
less money for advertising, talking to voters, and everything else it
takes to actually win a campaign. And that’s before you factor in the
millions of dollars our Republican-funded opponents spend on attacks using
racist smears and baseless lies.

A Campaign of the People: We stand firm in our belief that our movement
cannot be bought. We're here to serve the people, not the highest bidder.
But this principled stance puts us at a significant disadvantage when
facing opponents who will take money from anyone willing to give it.

That’s why we’re setting an ambitious goal to raise $1,000 by midnight
tonight.
