Costs associated with advocacy often mean that folks who want to make their voices heard just don’t have the resources to do so.

Make Advocacy Accessible!

Hi John,

Close your eyes for a moment. I invite you to think about an issue that is dear to your heart. What change would you like to see surrounding this issue?

No matter what topic comes to your mind, from reproductive justice to gun safety, policy change is key to catalyzing the progress you want to see.

At IGNITE we prioritize teaching young people how to raise their voices and advocate for the issues impacting their lives. Via our IGNITE the Capitol trips, we bring young women and gender-expansive youth into the spaces where decisions are being made and show them that's exactly where they belong. Participants learn advocacy techniques and put them into practice by meeting with elected officials, all while networking with other young changemakers.

Accessibility can be a barrier to participation in these advocacy opportunities. Costs associated with travel to state capitols often mean that folks who want to make their voices heard just don’t have the resources to do so.

That’s why we need your help today. Will you pitch in a few dollars to help cover costs for 200+ young people to join us at our upcoming IGNITE the Capitol trips in Sacramento, CA, Columbus, OH and Harrisburg, PA?

Gifts of any size will be pooled together to cover plane, bus, and train tickets for participants.

With your gift, we will make advocacy more accessible to young people like Abby Feldman, a student at the University of Buffalo and recipient of scholarship support to attend our recent trip to Albany.

“IGNITE the Capitol New York motivated me to connect with my local legislative leaders for years to come! The event empowered me to use my voice. Young people are ready to create real change! Thank you for this incredible opportunity to unite and ignite empowerment with a community of advocates!”

Thank you for supporting young women to step up as advocates.

My best,

Sara Guillermo
