Primary Election Recap:

Strategic Planning 2.0 - The Policy, Issues, and Resolutions Committee will return to the April 21, 2020 DCC meeting (7pm to 8:30pm, via Zoom) with updated ‘key issue’ recommendations and messaging recommendations. Contact Lauren Hernandez, [email protected] for more information or to assist.
 
KR Dinner Update -Due to COVID 19, the KR Dinner was postponed to Sunday, July 26. In addition, Lee will put a soft hold on Oct. 4 to provide another KR Dinner option. Please mark your calendars and tentatively hold Sunday, July 26 (3-7pm), and Sunday, Oct. 4 (3-7pm).
 
Campaign Office – At the March 17 EDC DCC meeting it was decided, due to the COVID-19 guidelines & quarantine, to wait until July 2020 and reevaluate whether to rent a campaign office for the August to Nov. 2020 time period. 

Virtual Organizing and Campaigning - DCC members agreed we should redirect time, resources and effort towards digital communications, creating a virtual campaign office, developing neighborhood point of contacts and hosting of virtual house parties, etc. Jill Keith, Michael Saunders are working on developing a virtual office. Contact Jill or Mike if you’d like to help with these efforts.

Census Outreach Phone banking in EDC & Placer County - Frank has asked Joe Armenta (CDP Area Director) to set up set a Census Outreach phone bank ASAP – Details & more information will arrive soon.
 
El Dorado County Climate Change Webinar, Sunday, April 19, 3pm to 5pm, - Mark your calendars! Local EDC climate change & environmental organizations and workgroups have announced a county-wide webinar to identify local environmental actions and strategies and to determine interest and support for a county-wide coalition to educate, promote and advocate for those actions/strategies. Details and webinar links will be announced soon.
