John,

After Super Tuesday and with Former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley  suspending her presidential campaign, Donald Trump has effectively secured the Republican presidential nomination. So here we go again.

Let’s remember Trump’s dangerous track record on the issues that matter most — sustainable food, clean water, and a livable climate. If Trump returns to the White House, we risk:

* Delaying the urgent transition, we need to renewable energy. Trump has called climate change a “hoax” and promises to cut funds for renewable energy programs and repeal regulations on the fossil fuel industry.
* Jeopardizing the fight to protect people and rural communities over agribusiness corporations. Trump’s administration approved controversial mergers and deregulation, leading to more pollution violations, dangerous working conditions, and price gouging.
* Further weakening of regulatory agencies which will allow more toxic chemicals and pollution to persist in our water and air. During his time in office, Trump halted bans on chemicals already found to be dangerous.

We’ve made substantial progress under President Biden, with historic action on PFAS chemicals, climate, and food monopolies. While much more work must be done, we risk enormous steps backward under Trump. On every front, Trump and his cronies waged a war on climate and science, and they’ll do it again.

That's why Food & Water Action is going all-in on voter turnout efforts ahead of the 2024 election. We need you with us to keep Trump out of the White House and defend our livable future.

Will you power our critical election work with a donation today to ensure we re-elect Joe Biden, flip the House, and elect climate champions to office?

The constant assault of Trumpism has been exhausting, daunting, and understandably agonizing, especially when we’re doing everything in our power to fight back and protect our democracy and climate.

But Food & Water Action's mission always stays the same despite who is in the White House. We work to protect your food, water, and climate by shifting real power back to the people. We need to stay focused. And we need you now more than ever.

Your support for Food & Water Action powers our national volunteer network and the grassroots infrastructure we have built to knock on doors, make calls, and register new voters! Donate to Food & Water Action today to ensure we have the resources to fight for our communities and planet.

Thank you for joining us at this pivotal moment for our democracy. Together, we can win the White House, ensure a Democratic majority in Congress, and elect climate champions to pass legislation to secure a healthier and more just world for all.
