Hi, friend. My name is Letitia James, but you can call me Tish!

I'm the attorney general of New York. I was born and raised in one of Brooklyn's many diverse neighborhoods. I spent my days in New York's public schools and my summers in the cool haven of its public libraries. I've always been incredibly proud to be from New York – but I also recognized from a young age that communities like my own needed someone to truly fight for them.

Because, to tell you the truth, I didn't grow up with power or privilege. Throughout my entire childhood and into my young adulthood, I had no real platform to voice my opinions or speak out against the decisions that were directly affecting me and my family.

So when I made history in 2018 by becoming New York's first Black attorney general, I knew that I had to be a fighter for communities like my own. So that's exactly what I've done.

I've taken the gun lobby and Big Pharma to court, gone toe-to-toe with far-right attorneys general in other states, and refused to be bullied by the powerful and corrupt men who have controlled New York for generations.

And, friend, this is just the beginning. 

As long as I'm attorney general, I vow that I will never bow, I will never break, and I will never be bullied. I will continue to do what needs to be done to protect the voiceless and vulnerable – and I'm so honored that you've decided to fight alongside me. 

So before our next big fight, I have to ask: Will you chip in any amount you can spare to my campaign so I can raise another $3,850 before midnight and continue my fight for progress?
