Donald Trump Wins Big on Super Tuesday
CBS: President Biden and former President Donald Trump won commanding victories across nearly all of the states holding Democratic and Republican nominating contests on Super Tuesday. Both notched wins in delegate-rich states like California, Texas, Virginia and North Carolina, the largest prizes out of the 16 states and one U.S. territory reporting results on Super Tuesday ( CBS). Collin Rugg: CNN says the Republican Party before Donald Trump doesn’t exist anymore because Trump took it over. CNN was also forced to admit that more black men and Latinos are voting for Trump ( X). Charlie Kirk: With zero evidence, facts, or statistics, bigot Joy Reid says on MSNBC that Republicans are not voting on economics, but on race ( X). Greg Price: Jen Psaki, Joy Reid, and Rachel Maddow are laughing on MSNBC at the fact that voters in Virginia care about immigration: Maddow: “Well, Virginia does have a border with West Virginia” ( X). Check out complete results here ( New York Times). Fox News: President Biden issued a statement Tuesday night following a series of victories in the Super Tuesday elections that took place in different corners of the country, claiming the “choice is clear” ahead of the 2024 presidential election. “Tonight’s results leave the American people with a clear choice: Are we going to keep moving forward or will we allow Donald Trump to drag us backwards into the chaos, division, and darkness that defined his term in office?” Biden questioned ( Fox News).

NBCLA: Adam Schiff and Steve Garvey will face off in November in the race to fill California’s Senate seat. Biden Claims to Be Leading in Last Five Consecutive Polls
He’s not. National Review: President Biden insisted he was leading in the last five polls. It’s hard to get a clear sense of what Biden has in mind. In the RealClearPolitics average, Biden leads just three of the last ten national polls, with one tied. It’s a similar story over at FiveThirtyEight. Both RCP and FiveThirtyEight are pretty darn good poll aggregators, and it’s unlikely they would miss some survey that the allegedly anti-Biden mainstream media just refused to mention, much less miss five in a row ( National Review). RNC Research: REPORTER: “What’s your message to Democrats who are concerned about your poll numbers?” BIDEN: “My poll numbers? The last five polls you guys don’t report. I’m winning — five! Five in a row” ( X)!

Supreme Court Temporarily Stays Texas’ Law Allowing Law Enforcement to Detain Illegal Immigrants
Fox News: The Supreme Court issued a stay against the Texas law that expands police officers’ powers to detain migrants, temporarily halting enforcement. The move from the Supreme Court came after the Department of Justice (DOJ) asked the court to temporarily block enforcement of the state law. The agency had filed an emergency appeal. SB 4 gives Texas authorities the ability to arrest anyone they believe has crossed into the U.S. illegally ( Fox News). Hill: In an order signed by Justice Samuel Alito, the high court blocked Texas from enacting the law until March 13, giving the state until March 11 to respond to the Justice Department’s request asking to pause the law from taking place. The Justice Department had filed an emergency request Monday asking the Supreme Court to intervene ( Hill).

France Becomes First Country in the World to Enshrine Abortion Into Constitution
New York Times: French legislators on Monday voted to explicitly enshrine access to abortion in the Constitution, making their country the first in the world to do so. Acutely aware that they were breaking historical ground from the grand assembly room inside Versailles Palace, the politicians delivered impassioned speeches about women’s rights around the world, paid homage to the courageous Frenchwomen who had fought for abortion rights when it was illegal and leaped up time and again to offer standing ovations. The motivation for the latest change was the decision by the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade in 2022, an issue raised repeatedly by legislators ( New York Times). LifeNews: People in France are celebrating a vote to make killing babies in abortions a constitutional right. This is EVIL ( X). Townhall: France limits elective abortions to 14 weeks gestation. This has been the law of the land since the 1970s, when abortion was first legalized in the country. This is not as extreme as legislation congressional Democrats in the United States want to enact ( Townhall).

Biden Administration Has Flown Hundreds of Thousands of Illegals Into the Country
Daily Wire: The Biden administration has reportedly admitted to flying hundreds of thousands of migrants into U.S. airports, and has acknowledged associated security threats. A report from the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) alleges that 320,000 inadmissible migrants flew directly into the U.S. in 2023 alone, facilitated mostly by the CBP One cellphone app. CIS says it was able to confirm 43 U.S. airports have received these migrants, but the government has refused to disclose the names of the airports, citing security “vulnerabilities.” The under-the-radar program is part of President Joe Biden’s dramatic expansion of immigration parole programs. Historically, immigrant parolees are given legal pathways to temporarily reside in the U.S. due to major events, such as war or other humanitarian crises. In other instances, parole is offered to immigrants on a rare case-by-case basis. But under Biden, more than 1 million migrants have already been granted immigration parole directly into the U.S. ( Daily Wire). Townhall: While the government won’t say which foreign airports the “inadmissible aliens” are coming from, only citizens of Cuba, Haiti, Venezuela, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Colombia, and Ecuador are eligible for the program ( Townhall).

Sen. Kyrsten Sinema Will Not Run for Reelection This Year
Washington Post: Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I-Ariz.) announced she will not seek reelection this year, avoiding an unpredictable three-way race in the swing state that had many national Democrats worried about holding onto the seat. “I believe in my approach, but it’s not what America wants right now,” Sinema said in a video announcing her plans. She listed several bipartisan accomplishments but said “compromise is a dirty word” in the current system, and that her political style was no longer appreciated ( Washington Post). NBC: Republicans, who are hoping to flip the Senate back into their control this year, are eyeing Arizona as a potential pickup opportunity. Democrats hold a slim majority in the Senate, and the GOP needs a net gain of two seats to win the chamber outright or one seat plus the tie-breaking vice presidency ( NBC).
