Yesterday, IWV unveiled the Hope Agenda: Remember Forgotten Women ([link removed]) which we developed to bring hope to women approaching retirement and address the concern that 89% of women fear they can’t afford to retire and won’t be able to find comparable work if they lose their current jobs.

Women of all ages face challenges in today’s economy. But women who are approaching retirement age often find themselves in particularly precarious financial situations.

To support women in this age group and bolster their financial security, politicians can commit to:
* Greater financial options and income security
* Transparent, upfront healthcare prices
* Affordable housing costs
* Elder care and caregiving peace of mind
* Boost retirement security

The Hope Agenda encourages politicians to talk about and offer solutions on some of the most important issues that women, as well as Independents, Hispanics, and younger Americans, care deeply about.

It’s time for Americans to feel hopeful again.
