Friend, for months now, you’ve been following my fight to ensure Pennsylvania’s public education system is meeting our state’s constitutional funding requirements.
And for months , Harrisburg Republicans have launched attack after attack against our students. And now, their latest effort to privatize education — cyber charter schools — are leaving our students behind while corporate entities rake in the profit.

I called for an immediate moratorium on approvals for new cyber charter schools because it is unconscionable and unconstitutional to send *millions* of tax dollars to a new cyber school managed by a profit-driven organization.
Especially when students of cyber charters are reportedly falling behind the curve in almost every school subject.
Friend, I’m fighting for better services for high-need students, a strong public education system, and increased transparency in how Pennsylvania’s tax dollars are being spent, but Republicans are hell-bent on privatizing our schools and hurting our students. Can you help me fight back against these ongoing attacks, and fight for a solution for our students, by supporting my work today?

The bottom line is that the Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruled our public education system unconstitutional last year. And since then, Republicans have done nothing but exacerbate the problem.
We must uphold our constitutional obligation to our students. And I’ll fight like hell until we do.
