Women's History Month - Watering the Roots of Our Matriarchs     March 2024 Newsletter March is Women’s History Month! A time to celebrate and honor all decolonial aunties, Black, Indigenous, and aunties of color who continue to advocate, influence, lead and nourish our communities. We believe in our fiercely loving aunties fighting to restore balance to our lives, communities and movements. Join us as we honor all Black, Indigenous, and women of color working in and with tribal communities as leaders. These women continue to flourish to make our communities safe and resilient. They inspire a new generation of young folks to become leaders in their own communities. #WHM2024 #DecolonialAunties #WateringMatriarchy February 2024 - CSVANW delivered jackets & clothes from a drive the “Jeep Club” had in December. The 4LoNewMexico “Jeep Club” reached out to CSVANW asking for help in donating to Tribal Communities. Acoma & Santo Domingo Pueblos received donations for their children in community. 4Lo New Mexico is a collective of passionate Jeep enthusiasts who have banded together to delve into the great outdoors, test the capabilities of our vehicles, and engage in community-driven initiatives. Their aim is to unite individuals who are equally passionate about off-roading, adventure, teaching, and giving back to our local community. We firmly hold the belief that the most immersive way to embrace the splendor of New Mexico is by navigating its terrain from the driver's seat of a Jeep. Come along on our journey and become a cherished member of our inclusive community. February 2024 - CSVANW provided a presentation on Teen Dating Violence Awareness month for our February Community Advocate Meeting. 14 advocates participated in learning about Teen Dating Violence Awareness month, setting healthy relationship boundaries, defining consent for teens, and the trauma informed approach when working with youth. Thank you to our Advocates for being there and participating in community! February 2024 - On February 27th, CSVANW held the first Membership meeting of 2024 in the beautiful Santo Domingo Pueblo.
