Great Lakes Drinking Water Conference, From Source to Tap, Sept. 25-26, 2024
Help us celebrate 50 years of the Safe Drinking Water Act - submit an abstract to present at the Great Lakes Drinking Water Conference in Novi, September 25-26!
Abstract submission deadline: *March 8, 2024*
In 1974, the Safe Drinking Water Act set standards for drinking water suppliers, service, and quality, leaving a clearly identifiable, positive impact on Great Lakes communities over the past five decades. Drinking water professionals, communities, and suppliers strive every day to ensure that the water we drink is protected at the source and safe to drink at the tap.
To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Safe Drinking Water Act, the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy is hosting the *Great Lakes Drinking Water Conference [ [link removed] ]*. This event aims to showcase the achievements and challenges of the past 50 years while looking ahead to the possibilities of the next half-century. This conference will share in the celebration of the Safe Drinking Water Act through presentations of case studies, research, and lessons learned in areas such as source water protection, drinking water system operations, and the vision for the next 50 years to protect and enhance drinking water quality for future generations.
The conference intends to bring together professionals, including community water supply personnel, local officials, community representatives, partners from the local, state, and federal levels, academia, consultants, service providers, source water protection partners, and others from the Great Lakes region. We invite you to join us in celebrating 50 years of standardized drinking water protection and contribute to shaping the vision for the next 50 years and beyond.
