The House of Representatives passed a two trillion dollar relief package, providing assistance to workers, small businesses, and industries hit by the crisis. Let me be clear: this bill does not include everything it should have, but it takes important steps to protect workers, bolster our healthcare system, and stabilize our economy. The work must continue - this is not over, and Congress must be there every step of the way to get working families through this. This crisis made it even more obvious that the system sets up working people and families to fail. During the course of these past two weeks, I heard your concerns loud and clear and tried to implement them in the final version of the bill. Here’s what I’ve done:
