Dear John,
God laughs. That's something we as Christians need to remember. We see this in Psalm 2. When rulers rage and plot in vain, "He who sits in the heavens laughs." And when God laughs, believers can laugh with Him. Godly laughter is not ungodly mockery, and it should create humility in us, not pride. Godly laughter unnerves God's enemies, because it shows we're not afraid of them. As the Psalm says, "The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: What can man do unto me?"
