Israel was violently attacked on Oct. 7, and hostilities have escalated since.
More than 31,000 people have been killed, and more than 70,000 have been injured in Israel and Gaza.
1.7 million people in Gaza are displaced from their homes – about 75% of the population.
The health care system in Gaza is collapsing due to shortages of electricity, medicine, equipment and specialized personnel. People with chronic illnesses like diabetes or high blood pressure can't get access to the medicines they need.
To date, Americares has delivered six tons of essential medicine and medical supplies to Gaza.
13 tons of aid is currently in transit, including prenatal vitamins and medications to treat infections, diabetes, hypertension and asthma.
Americares is providing emergency funding to support medical teams providing health services to displaced older adults, women and children in southern Gaza.
