This weekend, the White House took a step in the right direction. Vice President Kamala Harris joined our calls for a ceasefire in Gaza.

We all know why: Too many kids are starving and dying. The violence needs to end.

And while we will not rest until there is lasting peace, Kamala Harris’ speech – plus the fact that more than 100 Democrats in Congress have pushed for some form of a ceasefire – is proof that our grassroots pressure is working. Democrats must unite around a permanent ceasefire.

So why is my Democratic opponent George Latimer continuing to accept money from AIPAC and their right-wing donors – who oppose a ceasefire and want the war to continue all while children in Gaza are starving to death?

My opponent’s campaign has accepted over $600,000 from AIPAC, which endorsed over 100 insurrectionist Republicans and opposes a ceasefire. He held a fundraiser in the home of a millionaire Trump megadonor.

The devastation in Gaza was clear long before my opponent accepted AIPAC’s money. He just didn’t care.
