Dear friend,

We all have so many questions about the COVID-19 crisis — and thankfully we got
some expert answers on our Member Telephone Town Hall on Thursday from HRC
President Alphonso David and the esteemed Dr. Carl Streed.*

Over 1,100 members and supporters joined the call from coast to coast — thank
you so much to those who took part, asked thoughtful questions and inquired
about how you could help. We are so grateful for you and hope you found it as
insightful as I did!

With so much crucial information coming out of the call, we wanted to recap a
few of the top-line points and resources for you:

1. If you want to listen to the audio in-full, we recorded the conversation in
its entirety and put it online should you need it. Take a listen!

linked below.
2. Alphonso discussed the specific health and economic risks for the LGBTQ
community amid this crisis. Here is HRC Foundation’s research brief laying them out.

3. Dr. Streed spent time discussing what this pandemic means for those living
with HIV and AIDS. Read HRC Foundation’s recent blog
[[link removed]] on what this means for the community.
4. One member asked how to keep engaged in HRC’s work from home. Well, that
starts by keeping healthy and continues by volunteering virtually — check it out.

5. We talked about a number of other HRC’s COVID-19 resources and our web team
conveniently put them all in one place for easy access. Go to hrc.im/COVID19Resources

Even during this trying time, just know you can count on HRC to keep up our work
on behalf of our community. We have a big year ahead with a lot of work to do to
push us through this crisis and into the upcoming election.

Be on the lookout for more opportunities like this to connect with HRC directly
and, of course, we’ll be sharing more updates in the coming weeks as we continue
our critical work for LGBTQ equality!
