Upcoming Webinars
There are two upcoming webinars, including one this
week.
Mideast Wars Raging: When Will the Killing Stop?
The
Green Party Peace Action Committee will be presenting this on
Wednesday, March 6 at 8:00 p.m. ET.
The devastating war in Gaza is expanding, with U.S. attacks
on Yemen, increasing fighting between Israel and Hezbollah, and the
growing danger of war between the U.S. and Iran. The Biden
administration refuses to restrain Israel, and the Netanyahu
government appears intent on continuing to inflict death and
destruction on Gaza, where the population is trapped in ruined cities
and faces bombing and starvation.
For more information, including the registration link, please
visit: https://www.gp.org/mideast_wars_raging_when_will_the_killing_stop.
On April 3, the Banking
and Monetary Reform Committee is presenting DEGROWTH By
Monetary Reform.
The Green Party's "Greening the Dollar" initiative outlines
how to scrap the Fed for a Constitutional system that circulates
permanent, stable, and debt-free sovereign public money. This will
allow us to grow a caring economy that nurtures what we hold
dear.
This webinar is part of the monthly Black & Green
Wednesday events, co-produced by the Universal
African People's Organization and the Gateway
Green Alliance.

2024 Candidates
The Green Party of the United States is so proud of those whom have
chosen to run for public office under our banner. Here are just a few
of them.
During 2023, Kolb helped lead opposition to academic cuts
proposed at WVU by co-founding the West Virginia United Student
Union, and organizing student walk-outs, which were also
joined by faculty whose jobs were going to be cut.
“One of the important things about the student union is the way
that it brings students from across the university together to
advocate for themselves and for their peers”, said Kolb in an interview with West Virginia Public Broadcast.
“I fully believe that this student union has altered the way that
students relate to each other, the way they relate to faculty and
staff and how they understand the power dynamics at this university.
We’re hoping that that cultural change is a permanent change at this
campus.

Sean Dougherty is running hard
against a supporter of Genocide
From a recent Press Release of Sean's:
On January 23rd Panetta signed onto an open
letter to Secretary Blinken that attacked South
Africa’s genocide case against Israel before the International Court
of Justice (ICJ). The letter called the case “unfounded,”
“defamatory,” and “an act of hostility.” Three days later, the ICJ’s
preliminary ruling found
South Africa’s accusations of genocide plausibleand
ordered Israel to take several immediate measures to ensure the safety
of Palestinians.
Primary Day is Tuesday, March 5!

Ballot Petition Drives Around The Country
The Green Party of Virginia will be kicking off a ballot access
shortly. Please contact Tom
Yager if you're interested in participating.
7,500 validated signatures must be submitted; due to potentially
high rejection rates, our goal is usually more like 12,000-14,000 raw
signatures.
Petition applications were available in early January, and we have
started gathering signatures. There are 2 deadlines: petitions turned
in to to SOTS office are due July 31 by 4:00 pm, but there’s one more
week allowed for turning in to individual town clerks (deadline August
7 at 4:00 pm).
Volunteers can email [email protected].
The Delaware Green Party needs to register at least 100 new Greens
by May 24.
To register Green, go to https://ivote.de.gov/VoterView
Illinois has a short petitioning window. It begins on March 26 and
ends June 24. We need 25,000 verified signatures. A minimum of 37,500
(1 & 1/2 times) are needed to buffer against the inevitable
challenge.
Our petitioners would need to collect over 300 signatures a day in
order to meet the deadline. We are sure to have some volunteers but
not nearly enough to help with petitioning.
Visit https://www.ilgp.org/2024-presidential/ for
additional information.
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts requires 10,000 Town-certified
signatures. Signatures are due at town offices July 30th.
Since historically 85% of submitted signatures have been gotten
certified, this translates to (10,000 / 0.85) = ~12,000 (15,000 to be
safe).
Petitions are available as early as February 13. The Green-Rainbow
Party (GRP) plans to decide at the February 17 statecom meeting on
which presidential and vice presidential candidates names to place on
the petitions, and start collecting.
GRP risks placing other than the GPUS Nominees by starting before
mid-July, but delaying until mid-July would leave only two weeks to
collect signatures. Hence GRP will risk this by collecting now - if
GRP chooses wrong, we'll write-in GPUSs Nominees in November.
Volunteers can signup at: https://www.green-rainbow.org/volunteer
The Maryland Green Party needs to collect 10,000 valid signatures
by this August. Because the petitions will be challenged, they goal is
to collect 15,000.
You can help them either by collecting signatures or by making a
financial contribution. For complete information, please visit https://www.mdgreens.org/ballot_access2024
The Missouri Green Party needs to submit 10,000 valid signatures on
July 29, 2024. Their goal is to collect 15,000.

or https://www.missourigreenparty.org/ballot_access
for additional information.
The Nevada Green Party is gathering signatures now. The submission
date is June 3.
10,685 signatures are required, and their goal is to collect
20,000. We currently have approximately 5000 signatures. The state
party wants to thank the Nevada State Elections Board for being so
helpful with our endeavor to gain Ballot Access.

The Green Party of Pennsylvania begins their petition drive on
February 14 and need to deliver 5,000 valid signatures by August 1.
Their goal is to deliver 10,000 signatures.
The Green Party of Washington needs 1,000+ signatures to gain
ballot status.

for complete information.

Access Committee if you're interested in helping ballot access
around the country. More information about our Committee can be found

The notion that hydrogen (H) can be produced for “clean”
transportation is greenwashing pushed to the ridiculous. Hydrogen is
the first element on the periodic table of elements and readily
combines with many other elements including oxygen (O) in the air we
breathe.
Hydrogen has long been hailed as a clean and sustainable
energy source with the potential to revolutionize the energy
landscape. However, a closer examination reveals a darker side to this
seemingly eco-friendly element. In fact, hydrogen -- when produced
from methane, coal or ammonia -- poses significant human and
environmental risk.
