Do you pay rent, team?

The person writing this email (Hey! 👋) does. So do a lot of us here at Youth Vote HQ. We’re spread out across the country, but we’re all in agreement on one thing: Rent is entirely too high.

And it’s not just us! Harvard’s Joint Center for Housing Studies found that 50% of renters nationwide can’t afford housing.

31% of Gen Z adults are living with their parents because they just can’t afford rent. And it’s not because we don’t have jobs; wages are too low, student loans are too high, and the price of housing just keeps going up.

We’re in the middle of a housing crisis. And it won’t end if we don’t step up and do something about it. Will you write to your elected officials and demand they help bring down the rent: [link removed]
