Happy Women's History Month! March marks a time when we collectively celebrate the extraordinary achievements of women and recommit ourselves to the ongoing fight for equality.
As your Lieutenant Governor and the highest-ranking woman in our state, I am profoundly aware that my journey is paved by the remarkable strides of resilient Kentucky women who, through their groundbreaking efforts, have shattered barriers and advanced progress. Honoring them means persistently breaking down barriers, excelling in our respective fields, and steadfastly advocating for issues that affect us all.
But we cannot ignore Kentucky Republicans’ efforts to restrict our rights and opportunities time and time again. Their attacks on our rights, healthcare access, and equal pay are unacceptable. As Democrats, we will not stand idly by while Kentucky women and our rights are under attack.
Throughout Women's History Month, I extend an invitation to join me in celebrating the stories of Kentucky women who inspire us and embody our collective resilience. Together, let's pay tribute to the enduring legacy of those who blazed the trail before us and continue working tirelessly to ensure that every young girl grows up with the freedom to reach her full potential.
